Kelly Lynn Arnett, Ph.D.
Lecturer on Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology
Welcome to the Center for Macromolecular Interactions (CMI) in the department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School.
Our mission is to enhance basic research in the department and the HMS community by providing scientific consultation, training and access to shared biophysical equipment for the characterization and analysis of macromolecules and theircomplexes.
The facility currently includes instrumentation for the analysis of macromolecules and their interactions by:
- Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) - Microcal ITC200
- Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) - GE Biacore T200
- Biolayer Iinterferometry (BLI) - ForteBio BLItz and Octet RED384
- Differential Scanning Fluorimetry (DSF) - Life Technologies Quant Studio 6 with Protein Thermal Shift Software
- Circular Dichroism (CD) - Jasco J-815 Spectropolarimeter
- Analytical Size Exclusion Chromatography for Multi-Angle Light Scattering (SEC-MALS) or Fluorescence detection (FSEC) - Wyatt DAWN/Heleos II MALS with Agilent Liquid Chromatography System
- High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) - Waters Preparative HPLC with Photo Diode Array Detector
To book instrument time or request training, see the CMI Instrument Access Page.
