Gunther Laukien Prize to Gerhard Wagner

Gerhard Wagner awarded the 2018 Gunther Laukien prize

Gunther Laukien headshotCongratulations to BCMP Professor, Gerhard Wagner, who was awarded the Gunther Laukien Prize for 2018! The Günther Laukien Prize is a prize "to recognize recent cutting-edge experimental NMR research with a high probability of enabling beneficial new applications." The prize was established in 1999 in memoriam to Günther Laukien, who was a pioneer in NMR research.

The award recognizes his contribution to developing NMR methods critical in structure determination and understanding dynamics of biomolecules, including procedures for advanced sampling and data reconstruction, and methods to exploit the TROSY effect while detecting low-gamma nuclei in solution NMR spectroscopy.
